Relief workers needed for programs serving in crisis, runaway and homeless youth.
Street Outreach Program looking for an energetic individual to provide streets-based resources to young people in Santa Fe.
The Street Outreach Program is seeking an individual to provide support and access to services for homeless, runaway and high-risk youth both in the resource center and on the street. Will network with community resources to facilitate provision of client services and solicitation of donations.
Must have strong experience providing case management and experience working with street youth. Excellent time management and organizational skills, with strong written, verbal and computer skills needed. Must be able to work non-traditional hours, have a clear driving record with current auto insurance, and be over the age to 22 to be insurable to transport clients.
Dynamic full time position for a motivated person. This position is serving the needs of Homeless Youth in Santa Fe County through a “Housing First” approach.It is an incredible opportunity to assist in housing youth who are in need of support. We provide rental assistance, house hunting support, case management, home visits, access to community resources, and overall support necessary to transition youth to a permanent housing opportunities. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, but not dwell in sympathy; will be able to meet applicants in the physical, mental, emotional, and functional level where they present; will be able to present professionally and advocate with Landlords in the SF community; will LOVE the opportunity to be creative and put your stamp on a program that will concretely help youth in the community.
This position has a high percentage (>75%) direct client support and community network and a somewhat lower percentage of paperwork and documentation comparative to other positions in the social services field.
